The long irons (# 3, 4 and 5) look like a traditional iron at address, but were made with a two piece construction design, somewhat like the construction of a fairway wood, and designed to promote a low center of gravity for a higher ball flight; and a higher MOI for greater consistency.
The 6-PW have a deep undercut channel in a cavity back design, and are a very forgiving iron.
