QUADRATIC SQUARE TOE IRONS
Just introduced for 2008 season. The square heads have been a significant improvement in accuracy for the drivers, fairway woods, and even hybrids. Now the technology has been introduced to the iron. We haven't hit this yet, but it looks like it'll be a very forgiving iron.
Not only does it have the square toe, it has significant weighting at the toe, and also a wide sole, and a wide top line... for maximum perimeter weighting.
Additionally, the manufacturer has "beveled" the sole, to make it easier to hit shots off of tight lies with the wider sole.
There's nothing fancy about this iron in terms of cosmetics.. It's not "beautiful" in appearance. But it looks like it will be a great game improvement iron.
There is not a 3 iron available with this model.... so the standard set will be the 4 iron thru Pitching Wedge, and we will include the # 3 square hybrid. (See the Turbo SQ, Model #1 in the utility clubs section.)
Price: $189 with steel shafts, any flex; or $269 with graphite shafts (any flex).
If you want more hybrids... you can eliminate the 4 iron and add the # 4 hybrid for an additional $20. Or eliminate the # 4 and # 5 irons and add the # 4 and # 5 hybrids, and add $40. So the price for the # 3, 4, 5 hybrids and 6 thru Pitching Wedge in the would be $229 for steel shafts, or $309 with graphite shafts.
