Here is a set of real game improvement irons. Check out the sole of the irons in the two pictures.
The 3, 4, 5 and 6 irons in this set have a particularly wide sole, and are slightly "low profile", so more weight is placed at the bottom of the club, to make these irons much easier to hit than traditional long irons. The higher lofted irons (7 iron through Pitching Wedge) have a more traditional sole and size. These irons are patterned after the Ping G-2 ® hi-launch model.
Available both right hand, and left handed. Men's and ladies.
