Patterned after the club that KJ Choi used to win the Chrysler Tour event late October 2006. Unusual looking, to say the least. Also a huge confidence builder. It looks like you can hit the heck of this weapon. And it sets up great in terms of alignment. The impression you get at address is that you are really going to hit it far, and really hit it straight. The visual look at address should give you a ton of confidence in hitting long, straight drives. The straight edges at the heel and toe of the club make alignment so simple and confidence inspiring....
In terms of technology and engineering, these square head drivers have a higher MOI (Moment of Inertia) than other most other driver heads. The farther back the center of gravity, the higher the MOI.
The results of a higher MOI - the more forgiving the driver, AND the more accurate (ESPECIALLY on mishits).
We're just starting to get feedback on this model. Definitely long in terms of distance; EXTREMELY ACCURATE; with a HUGE SWEETSPOT. Also it does have a loud "tin can" sound. "The performance far outweighs the loud noise...."
The previous "traditional" model, the SV2 was our best selling driver in 2006. We received tons of great feedback, in terms of distance; and how the ball really jumped off the face. It looks like this next generation SV3 model will also be a real game improvement driver.
We've sold a lot of this driver model..... really good feedback, particularly pertaining to accuracy. The square headed clubs are definitely straighter than the "round" driver clubheads.
